Q: Can I track older jobs that do not appear in the Cargo Tracking screen?
A: Yes.
You can search by date range in Cargo Tracking or by your Job number, Equipment number, Customer Reference number or Tropical Invoice number to get the specific information you need. Return To Top
Q: Can I see the vessel name or status of my cargo on-line?
A: Yes.
When you login to your tropical.com user account, you will be taken to the Cargo Tracking screen, which shows you cargo in two views -- My Cargo and My Sail Dates. Shipment information in either view can also be easily exported and saved to your computer. To view the vessel or status information, click 'My Sail Dates'. From here you can see Job/BOL number, shipment sail and arrival dates, Ports of Load and Discharge, Vessel Name and Voyage number.

Q: Can I find the status of my cargo shipment on-line?
A: Yes.
The 'My Cargo' view (shown below) outlines the Job Type, Job Status, Status Date, Shipper and Consignee. From here you can see when your cargo was booked and received, when it sailed and more.

Q: Can I see the equipment number on-line?
A: Yes.
Clicking the red number in the Job/BOL column (Figure 1) takes you to the Cargo Description page (Figure 2), where you can see the equipment number as well as other shipment-related information.

Q: Can I get more detail about what was in the shipment?
A: Yes.
From the Cargo Description page, click on the underlined item next to Cargo Description (Figure 1) to view the Cargo Detail (Figure 2). This will show what was shipped.

Q: Do I have to log in to track my cargo?
A: Yes ... and no.
Homepage Cargo Tracking:
You can get basic information about your shipment with our Homepage Cargo Tracking feature (shown below). Enter your Bill of Lading or Job nubmer or your Shipment number to retrieve this information without logging in.

Comprehensive Cargo Tracking:
Customers who want to access the comprehensive Cargo Tracking features offered on tropical.com must log in to their customer account for this secure information.
