Thompson Issues Change in Sailing Schedule to Grand Cayman
January 17, 2007 -- Thompson Line strives to provide our customers with the fastest, most reliable service to the Cayman Islands. Due to increased cruise ship activity into Grand Cayman on Sundays, completing the discharge of our Friday sailing by 8:00 a.m. Monday has become increasing more challenging.
As part of our commitment to meeting the needs of the customers and communities we serve, and to ensure that cargo is consistently available as early as Sunday afternoon, but no later than Monday morning, effective Thursday, February 1, 2007, the scheduled Friday departure from Port Everglades, Florida, will now depart on Thursday. As a result of the schedule change, we will discharge in Grand Cayman on Saturday evening instead of Sunday evening.
Departing one day earlier will ensure that we have the time necessary to fully discharge our vessel and will make cargo available to our customers no later than Monday morning. The change in schedule will have no affect on our Tuesday sailing from Port Everglades or the Sunday sailing from the Port of Tampa.
Please see the table below for an updated listing of cargo and documentation cut offs for the Thursday departure:
