Tropical.com User Enhancements
We are proud to announce that tropical.com has launched a second collection of enhancements to complement the robust selection of user-friendly shipping tools our web customers currently enjoy.
We have designed these changes with you, our customers, in mind.
Manage My Account
This feature provides customers with more access and control when doing business via tropical.com through the following capabilities:
Web users can access multiple accounts with a single sign-on
There are four levels of user access, including a customer account administrator to oversee maintenance and register new users to their account(s)
Account administrators can view all contacts for their account(s), regardless of user access
All web users have the ability to update their customer profile and manage their passwords
Create and Copy Bookings
Tropical.com web customers now have a choice when making their bookings on-line at tropical.com.
Each time they create an on-line booking request, web users have the option of creating an entirely new booking or copying information from a previous booking into a new one. This will enable them to leverage previous booking information while maintaining the ability to change any information necessary for the new booking request. This new feature has been designed to save customers time while working on-line.
Documents
Web users now have access to an on-line, interactive Shipper's Letter of Instruction, which was designed to provide a format for customers to clearly indicate their shipping preferences and requirements. This information can be saved directly to a specific shipment and will be saved for viewing and printing with all other shipment related documents.
This feature will speed the process of document availability at point of destination, as well as ensure that we capture all of the data that is important for customer shipments to be handled as accurately as possible.
Homepage Cargo Tracking
Tropical.com web users have enjoyed our comprehensive Cargo Tracking feature, which enables them to view all events related to the shipment of their cargo. This feature is so popular that we have created a similar tool, available to all Tropical Shipping customers regardless of Web User status.
The new tool, accessible to all customers from the tropical.com homepage, allows customers to enter a Job, Bill of Lading or Shipment number to get basic tracking information, such as the current status of the cargo or shipment and basic details about location.
Unlike the detailed, comprehensive Cargo Tracking available to tropical.com web users, homepage tracking does not require a user account or login of any kind.
These updates give Tropical customers more access, control and flexibility – all of which makes it easier to do business with us on-line.
