Due to lower volumes and higher operating costs, our ability to sustain and invest in the service you have come to expect has been impacted.

In order to continue to provide the highest quality, on-time shipping services, effective May 2, 2010, Tropical Shipping will implement a General Rate Increase (GRI) for all shipments to and from South Caicos, Turks & Caicos Islands.

The General Rate Increase, effective May 2, 2010 will be as follows:

40’ Equipment	$400
Greater than 40’ Equipment	$450
Vehicles not exceeding 700 CFT	$175
Vehicles exceeding 700 CFT	$225
CWT for LCL –100 lbs	$0.50
CFT for LCL - 1 cft	$0.25

This increase will apply to all tariff and service contract rates for dry and refrigerated cargo and will give us the financial resources to continue to invest in our operations to better service our customers.
