July 1, 2008 -- The Dominican Republic Trucking Association, Fenatrado, recently announced all customers requiring inland transportation within the Dominican Republic will be subject to a 15% increase over the existing rates, effective July 27, 2008.

This increase applies to all open tariff and contract rates.

The intent of the increase is to recover the costs that Fenatrado has experienced over the past few months due to increased fuel costs, maintenance costs and inflation.
