Tropical Shipping Announces Relocation of Grand Turk Facility

August 7, 2009 -- In order to continue to provide fast, reliable and comprehensive shipping services to all the customers and communities we serve, Tropical Shipping in collaboration with Cargo Express Services Ltd. is pleased to announce the opening of its new facility and offices in Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands. 

This new facility greatly improves the way Tropical’s Grand Turk customers can send and receive cargo.  Customers have the benefit of everything taking place in the same location: bill of lading collection, freight payment, customs processing, duty payment and cargo collection, and this significantly decreases the processing time for Tropical's customers.

Other services and special features of the Grand Turk facility include:

·         Shipment consolidation services

·         LCL (less than container load) cargo handling

·         FCL (full container load) cargo handling

·         5,000 square feet of warehouse space
