Tropical Announces New Inland Reservation System

November 17, 2008 -- As part of its commitment to provide fast, reliable and comprehensive shipping services to all the customers and communities it serves, Tropical Shipping is pleased to announce that we have implemented an Inland Reservation System to enhance our current ocean booking process.

We recognize that the inland transportation services that Tropical provides are a key component of our customers total supply chain.  Therefore, we have created an Inland Reservation System for customers requiring Tropical’s local, South Florida, trucking services.  The new system supports the real time tracking of reservations, available resources and makes important scheduling information available to our Customer Service team. 

The Inland Reservation System will control the scheduling of the Inland Reservations according to our operational capacity.  Now when you call our Customer Service team to arrange a pickup or delivery time they will use the Inland Reservation System to negotiate the best time to perform the trucking service.  This will help us ensure that we meet our trucking commitments.
