New Los Angeles Receiving Location
February 15, 2009 -- Tropical Shipping is offering a new receiving location in Los Angeles, CA. Our new logistics provider will be United Cargo Logistics, Inc (U.C.L.).
Customers can drop off their cargo to United Cargo Logistics, Inc. during the following operating hours in either office location:
Downtown Office (Fashion District)
1046 San Julian Street

M-F 12:00 pm-6:00 pm

M-F 9:00 am-6:00 pm

This service will compliment Tropical Shipping’s full-service shipping operation. Tropical Shipping has 8 additional receiving locations located throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Some additional information about the receiving process and the benefits of using U.C.L. are listed below:
The location of the warehouse is near downtown and in the fashion district.
The head office location is located three miles from downtown and offers customers the ability to park and repack cargo.
U.C.L. will receive cargo directly from customers and wholesale stores in the downtown location from 12:00 pm-6:00 pm.
U.C.L. offers cargo pick-up in the Greater LA area
U.C.L. will assist customers with merchandise piece count and shipping instructions.
72 hour transit time from Los Angeles to Miami
There is no limit on the LCL shipment size that U.C.L. can receive.
Cargo must be labeled with consignee name, port of destination and cargo receipt number c/o Tropical Shipping. Label stickers will be provided by Tropical to assist with labeling the cargo.
U.C.L cannot receive or ship hazardous cargo.
The following items must be listed on a customer’s receipt in order to avoid a delayed or returned shipment: Tropical Shipping’s ID # 48561; Final Port of Destination, Company Name and/or Buyer’s Name and Phone Number to Final Destination
If cargo is received with proper documentation by the cut-off day and time shipments will connect with the next available sailing.
