May 19, 2010 -- As part of our commitment to provide the fastest transit times to our customers, the majority of our LCL cargo cut-offs are noon day prior to the scheduled sail date. There are, however, exceptions to this process and we have outlined these exceptions below.

Parcel LCL deliveries: The cutoff for cargo delivered to Tropical by parcel carriers (UPS, Federal Express, and others) with all the necessary documents is 4 p.m. two (2) days prior to sailing. To expedite the shipment of your cargo please make sure that all paperwork is consigned as outlined below and make sure to use this same format for on-line orders.

Flat Rack LCL cargo: LCL flat rack cargo is subject to a minimum stow requirement. The minimum stow is the amount of LCL cargo that is required on the flat rack before it can sail. If the cargo does not meet minimum stow requirements the cargo will be held until minimum stow is reached. If a request is made for the cargo to sail prior to meeting the minimum stow requirements or sail outside of Tropical’s scheduled sailing for LCL flat rack cargo it will be subject to the Expedited LCL Flat Rack Surcharge.

Marsh Harbour LCL Cargo Receiving Facility: Personal cargo for individuals travelling to West Palm Beach from Marsh Harbour as well as West Palm Beach businesses have the opportunity to use our new LCL cargo receiving facility. The documentation cut-off for this cargo is 4:00 p.m. two (2) days prior to sailing and noon day prior to sailing for cargo.
