November 5, 2009 -- Due to the additional costs associated with shipping LCL flatrack cargo, Tropical Shipping will implement a LCL Flatrack Surcharge for all LCL flatrack shipments from the U.S. to Anguilla, effective November 29, 2009.

The LCL Flatrack Surcharge, as outlined below, is in addition to all other applicable charges. In order to minimize this charge, LCL flatrack cargo will sail the third Thursday of every month, subject to a minimum stow requirement. The minimum stow is the amount of LCL cargo that is required on the flatrack before it can sail. If the cargo does not meet minimum stow requirements the cargo will be held until minimum stow is reached.

If a request is made for the cargo to sail prior to meeting the minimum stow requirements or sail outside of Tropical’s scheduled sailing for LCL flatrack cargo it will be subject to the Expedited LCL Flatrack Surcharge. Tropical Announces New Surcharges for LCL Flatrack Cargo for Shipments from the U.S. to St. Croix.

November 5, 2009 -- Due to the additional costs associated with shipping LCL flatrack cargo, Tropical Shipping will implement a LCL Flatrack Surcharge for all LCL flatrack shipments from the U.S. to St. Croix, effective November 29, 2009.

The LCL Flatrack Surcharge, as outlined below, is in addition to all other applicable charges. In order to minimize this charge, LCL flatrack cargo is subject to a minimum stow requirement. The minimum stow is the amount of LCL cargo that is required on the flatrack before it can sail. If the cargo does not meet minimum stow requirements the cargo will be held until minimum stow is reached.

If a request is made for the cargo to sail prior to meeting the minimum stow requirements or sail outside of Tropical’s scheduled sailing for LCL flatrack cargo it will be subject to the Expedited LCL Flatrack Surcharge. This surcharge will be applied in place of the LCL Flatrack Surcharge and will be subject to all other applicable charges.

The minimum stow is the amount of LCL cargo that is required on the flatrack before it can sail. If a request is made for the cargo to sail prior to meeting the minimum stow requirements or sail outside of Tropical’s scheduled sailing for LCL flatrack cargo it will be subject to the Expedited LCL Flatrack Surcharge.
