ECR Service Advisory: Monitoring Hurricane Idalia

Tropical Shipping is closely monitoring Hurricane Idalia.

Advisory from FEC:

“FEC southbound train (109) will come down tonight arriving approximately 5 am but no empties will return.  There will be no southbound train Wednesday night that normally arrives Thursday morning.    The next southbound train will arrive Friday morning and take empties back northbound.    All other information is listed below.   This is all subject to change based on weather.  At this point the FEC doesn’t know if they will run a Saturday train to catch up.

On our side, all our trucks in Jacksonville have picked up containers from the FEC yard today and left Jacksonville destined to our customers.   All scheduled spots and pickups are covered through the end of day Thursday.  Most of Jacksonville closed early this afternoon and will cause local trucking to back up for a couple of days after the storm.

If the FEC closes their gate, truckers will take the loads back to their yards.”
