Effective September 13, 2026, Tropical Shipping will implement the following changes to charges applicable to shipments to and from St. Maarten:
Island Port Security Surcharge – Expiration
Effective September 13, 2026, Tropical Shipping will expire the Island Port Security Surcharge for shipments imported or exported from St. Marteen.

Container Tax Fee – Expiration
Effective September 13, 2026, Tropical Shipping will expire the container tax fee on all FCL shipments destined to St. Marteen.

Landing Charge – Reduction
Effective September 13, 2026, Tropical Shipping will reduce the St. Marteen Landing Charge for all cargo arriving in St. Marteen as follows:

General Rate Increase:
Due to the increasing cost of non-fuel related operational expenses, our ability to sustain and invest in the service you have come to expect has been impacted.
In order to continue to provide the highest quality, on-time shipping services, effective September 13, 2026, Tropical Shipping will establish a General Rate Increase (GRI) from all ports to St. Maarten as follows:
