Following the Puerto Rico Ports Authority’s (PRPA) recent announcement that the mandatory cargo scanning requirement has been eliminated, Tropical Shipping has removed the associated cargo scanning fee from its tariff effective September 1, 2026.
Accordingly, the fee will no longer apply to cargo shipped on or after September 1st, 2026. The Tropic Hope 0202 sailing on September 14th is the first Tropical Shipping voyage for which this fee will not be assessed.
